I’ve never been a huge fan of electronic drums in settings other than practice, until I saw the Pearl e-Pro Live drums. They are basically a kick butt electronic set that was designed to look like a real drum kit.
One of the cool things about the kit is that you can change out the heads with real drum heads and turn it into an acoustic set. Check out this video to see what the Pearl e-Pro Live kit has to offer.
The kit runs at $3199.99, so it does have a hefty price tag. Although it looks to be a pretty sweet electronic set. Check out more details at Music123 here.
Gretsch Drums latest addition to its Renown Purewood drum series marks a 1st in the 126 year old history of the company. For the first time ever, the company is incorporating beech wood into one of their drum kits.
Limited to just 45 kits in the US, Gretsch’s Renown Purewood Beech 6-piece kit features 100% 7-ply beech shells, 30-degree bearing edges and die cast hoops. To retain the natural beauty of the beech wood, the kit is finished in a medium/ dark cherry stain and applied the standard Renown gloss lacquer finish. High quality triple chrome plated Renown hardware components complete the kit.
